Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that starting counselling can bring up many questions. This section provides clear answers to some of the most common queries about our services, what to expect, and how we can support you. If you don't find what you're looking for, feel free to reach out—we're here to help.
1What issues can counselling help with?
Counselling can support a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, life transitions, and more. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or just need someone to talk to, we're here to help.
2What should I expect in my first session?
The first session is an opportunity to get to know your therapist, discuss your concerns, and explore what you’d like to achieve through counselling. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions and decide if you feel comfortable moving forward.
3How long does each session last?
Sessions last 1 hour
4How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and circumstances. Some people benefit from just a few sessions, while others may choose to continue therapy over a longer period. This will be discussed and reviewed regularly with your therapist.
5Is everything I say confidential?
Yes, your privacy is very important to us. All sessions are confidential, with a few legal exceptions—for example, if there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others. Your therapist will explain this in more detail during your first session.
6Do you offer online or remote sessions?
Yes, we offer both in-person and secure online sessions to accommodate your preferences and needs.
7How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment by calling us, emailing us, or using our online booking form. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.
8Are your counsellors qualified?
Absolutely. I am a fully trained, registered BACP counsellor, and adhere to strict ethical and professional standards.
